That will depend on the manufacturer of the appliance, some forbid use of extensions with them.
Presuming there is no such restriction then you would want to power only a single active appliance at any one time (drawing less than the 10A, 2,400W / 2.4kW maximum rating of the extension) and have the trailing socket end where it won't be subject to potential fluid intrusion or physical impacts.

As long as you don't overload the maximum power capacity of the extension (10A, 2,400W / 2.4kW) then this should be an acceptable load setup.
It could be considered suitable to not have surge protection as the phone charger will isolate the phone from any damage and the lamp will likely not be overly affected by surges, but this is very much a personal choice at the end of the day.

Yes, you can see the cover retaining screw plus the two cable clamp screws in the main image on this listing, you simply need to unscrew the top cover and loosen the cable clamp then flip the plug over to access the terminal screws (once the cover has been taken off).
