I bought the absolute cheapest fan that Argos had, for the heatwave. As one comedian says, "The one with no name!". I was prepared to be disappointed. It's AMAZING!!! It is surprisingly not difficult, but harder to put together than you'd imagine. I expected plug & play. No, you do need to assemble the stand, remove the front fan cover, install the fan blades yourself & reassemble. Top tip, you need significant effort to remove the front fan cover to install the blades. I was absolutely convinced I was going to break it. But the cover does eventually snap off if you overcome your (justified) fear in breaking it, (it should because better design where it can just clip off). But once you have it assembled, it's INCREDIBLE!! It's almost silent, I had it running literally next to my head all night & no issue! In face I think it acted like white noise & helped me sleep! And I only ever had it on power 1 & that was more than ample. Higher powers might be used for propelling sail boats? As the cheapest fan Argos have I can't recommend it enough!

Will this do?
It has not broken down in the one month between purchase and being badgered to provide this review. Airflow: yes. Oscillation, also yes. Tilt can be adjusted with the handle of a teaspoon. The control knob on the back of the fan unit makes turning on and off quite awkward.
