If you own one of the affected gas hobs, please get in touch with the Samsung dedicated contact centre on 0800 046 5458 or register on the https://gashobsrepair.mktpoint.com website. From there, you will be able to arrange for a Gas Safe Registered engineer to come to your home to check if the gas elbow connector on your gas hob is one of those affected by this issue. If so, it will be replaced. 

If your gas hob is installed in a caravan, leisure home or motorhome, you should safely disconnect it from the LPG cylinder and get in touch immediately.

We have become aware that some Russell Hobbs gas hobs may be fitted with a connector that is at risk of failing in certain circumstances whether the hob is in use or not. Should this occur, this could lead to a gas leak or fire.

How do I know if I have an affected model?

The model number can be found either on the rating label under the hob (as shown in the image below) or on the instruction manual. Should neither be readily accessible, or you have concerns you might have an affected model, then please follow the instructions below to register for a free inspection by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

What should I do next?

If you have an affected gas hob or you cannot locate your model number, it’s important that you contact us straight away to arrange for a free inspection and repair by a Gas Safe registered engineer.   You can contact us on Freephone 0800 046 5396. If you are using an affected appliance with Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) in a caravan or motorhome, please disconnect it from the LPG cylinder immediately.

Bosch (BSH) is voluntarily recalling the above Styline Toaster models produced from January 22 to May 23, as the product presents a risk of fire and injuries as quality checks have revealed a technical fault. Under certain circumstances, this fault can lead to the electronics overheating and a toaster fire starting.

To minimize safety risks and as a precaution, please disconnect any affected toaster from the mains supply immediately and do not use it.
You can check if your appliance is affected by checking the nameplate on the bottom of the toaster (colour may vary from the image).

A number of products have failed to meet the required fire safety standards and if exposed to a naked flame, the cover fabric could catch fire. With this in mind, we are proactively alerting you to a voluntary recall impacting product models above due to a potential safety issue involving the battery management circuit boards.

All gas appliances must be installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the cooker. Correct use and adequate ventilation is essential to ensure safe use of these cookers. Using an appliance for any purpose, other than that for which it is designed, can cause serious safety issues. The grill cavity in these appliances is designed for open door grilling and the grill must not be used as an oven, a space heater, or any other purpose.

The unit itself is not affected, but if your Lumie Bedbug has a serial number between 2017/1300001 and 2017/1305870 or 2018/1300001 and 2018/1301260, please stop using it until you get a replacement power adaptor which can be obtained by contacting info@lumie.com.

• If you bought the product between August 2020 and June 2021 and followed the instructions or are unsure whether it is earthed, DO NOT attempt to open the lantern to check. Switch the lantern off and DO NOT use.

We want to bring to your attention a potential safety issue with the Argos Memory Foam Mattress Topper. We have found via routine testing that a small number of mattress toppers do not conform to UK fire safety standards.

What do you need to do?
If you purchased an Argos memory foam mattress topper, check the care label for the batch code. If the batch code on the care label matches one of the batch numbers below, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return it to an Argos store for a full refund or replacement. You will not need a receipt.

It has come to our attention that the installation instructions for the following items were unclear, specifically page 15 of the instruction manual, advising customers how to connect the cable for the oven. If the connector block was wired incorrectly, there is a risk of overheating which in extreme circumstances could lead to a fire. In addition, if the temperature within the oven exceeds the tempered glass limit, there is a risk that the glass could crack.

What do you need to do?
DO NOT USE YOUR OVEN until the installation has been tested by a qualified engineer.

While your oven may have been installed by a qualified person, as the instructions were unclear we want to make sure that the connection is checked. In the meantime, even if your oven is working fine, if the cable was connected incorrectly, there is a risk of overheating.
