Hair removal's such a chore, right? From de-fuzzing the face, to preening those pins, our range of products cover all areas to make getting silky smooth skin easy.

Types of hair removal

Lady shavers

Shavers glide across your skin, cutting the hair above the roots. It's painless (yay) but silky smoothness only lasts a day or two. Remember to shave against the direction of hair growth and try a waterproof model for sensitive skin.

Why they're great...

  • Quick, easy and convenient.
  • Suitable for all hair and skin tones.
  • Can shave any length hair.
  • Soft-touch comfort cushions.
  • Best for legs, arms, bikini and underarms.

Be mindful of...

  • Typically only lasts 1-2 days.
  • Stubble.
  • Small risks of nicks or cuts.
  • Hair grows back thicker and darker.

Ladies trimmers

Designed for sensitive areas, it removes hair from lips, chin, bikini area and even 'peach fuzz' from the face. Like shavers, trimmers cut hair above the root and results only last a couple of days.

Why they're great...

  • Cordless convenience.
  • High precision.
  • Available in compact sizes.
  • Can shave any length hair.
  • Suitable on all hair and skin tones.
  • Very easy and painless.
  • Best for small, sensitive areas (lip, chin, bikini).

Be mindful of...

  • Typically only lasts 1-2 days.
  • Stubble.
  • Small risks of nicks or cuts.
  • Hair grows back thicker and darker.

Epilators

Does epilating hurt? It can be a tad uncomfortable to begin with, but because epilators use electronic tweezers to pluck hairs from the root, it means hair regrowth is slower and finer.

Why they're great...

  • Can catch shorter hairs.
  • Lasts 4-6 weeks (dependant on individual's hair).
  • Suitable for all hair and skin tones.
  • Use when hair has grown above skin's surface.
  • Easy to use.
  • Different attachments, including massager.
  • Best for legs, arms, bikini and underarms.

Be mindful of...

  • First few sessions could hurt a little.
  • Charge life can range between 1-1.5hrs for 40-80mins of cordless usage.
  • Waterproof models may be more suited to sensitive skin.

Waxing

Warm wax is applied to the skin with strips, then pulled away in the opposite direction to hair growth. This removes hair from the root which may be a shock to first timers, but with each session the hairs grow back slower and finer.

Why it's great...

  • Smoothness lasts 2-6 weeks (dependant on individual's hair).
  • Suitable for all hair and skin tones.
  • Reduced hair growth.
  • Hairs only need to be 0.2-0.6cm before re-waxing.
  • Best for entire body.

Be mindful of...

  • First few sessions could hurt a little.
  • Can be messy (have towels at the ready).
  • Don't re-wax any leftover hairs, simply tweeze them away.
  • May not be suitable if you're pregnant.

Electrolysis

Home electrolysis differs to traditional electrolysis, as it uses heat rather than a probe to target hair follicles. This causes hair to fall from the root and grow back slower. It's simple and painless but can take a little time with larger areas.

Why they're great...

  • Low maintenance.
  • Painless and easy.
  • Clinically tested.
  • Suitable for any skin type or colour.
  • Best for entire body.
  • Hair growth is reduced over 6 weeks.

Be mindful of...

  • Some models can seem expensive, but it's seen as an investment.
  • At the start, you need to use it 2-3 times a week, then as needed.
  • Buff your skin after, to remove any excess hair from the root.
  • Not suitable if you're pregnant.

IPL

IPL releases pulses of light which weakens follicle and stunts regrowth for longer lasting results. Over time hair will stop growing back altogether.

Why they're great...

  • Hair growth is reduced over 10 weeks.
  • To be used once every 2 weeks for 10 weeks, then as needed.
  • Easy to use and painless.
  • Clinically tested.
  • Suitable for entire body including facial hair.

Be mindful of...

  • You need to shave before use.
  • Best for light skin with dark hair.
  • Not suitable for dark skin tones or pale hair.
  • Not suitable if you're pregnant.

Hair removal tips

Some hints to help protect and maintain your skin

  • Before you shave...exfoliate! It'll remove any dead skin and lift the hairs, making it a closer shave. It helps prevent those nasty ingrown hairs too.
  • Use shaving gel or cream where appropriate. Not only will you get a softer shave, it'll reduce any irritation.
  • If you're trying a new type of hair removal, do a patch test. A simple way to check there's no reaction and that it'll work for you.
  • Warm water helps open pores, resulting in a smoother shave.
  • After shaving, use a moisturiser to avoid irritation.
  • An evening shaving session will give your skin time to recover overnight.
