Everyday styling

If you've got thick hair that doesn’t air dry well, using a hairdryer can help tame and style it, speeding up your post-shower routine. Straighteners work well for fringes or smooth finishes.

Top Tip: For extra hold, apply a styling product like gel or wax before blow-drying.

At-home hair cuts.

At-home hair cuts

Clippers allow you to recreate many hairstyles at home. For simple, even cuts, you can achieve a neat finish on your own, but you’ll need help for gradient styles.

Top Tip: Hair can get messy, so choose a space with an easy-to-sweep floor and lay down newspaper or a bin bag before you start.

How to cut your hair at home

The most versatile tool for DIY haircuts is a grooming kit. These all-in-one trimmers come with interchangeable heads for creating gradients, perfect for short back and sides styles. For a step-by-step tutorial, check out the videos below.

Facial hair

For a close shave

Electric shavers can speed up your morning routine and reduce nicks and cuts. You can use them without prep, or opt for a wet & dry model if you prefer shaving foam.

For beard & stubble maintenance

A beard or stubble trimmer often comes with multiple heads, allowing you to trim longer beards and achieve a close shave around the neckline and cheekbones.

For nose & ear hair

If plucking is too painful, a nose and ear trimmer makes it easier to keep facial hair neat. Narrow heads gently remove stray hairs, and some models include an eyebrow setting too.

How to trim a beard

Define the neckline

Define your neckline by ending your beard an inch above your Adam's apple. Use a setting two grades below your usual length to trim below this line, then switch to one or two shorter settings to shave the lower half for a gradient effect.

Shape the cheek line.

Shape the cheek line

Start from the bottom of your sideburns and curve towards the corner of your moustache. Trim above this line for a clean, defined look.

Choose your length

Select the longest clipper setting and trim your beard, shaving against the direction of hair growth to remove as much as possible. Repeat until you achieve your desired length.

Most multi-groomers come with a head suitable for use on other parts of your body. This is a great option if you're not looking for a totally smooth finish, on your chest for example, but just want to trim away some excess fuzz.

If you prefer the look of a completely smooth finish you could wax or treat the area with a hair removal cream. If it's your first time you might consider having this done professionally, but there are at-home kits you can buy too.

Body care

Caring for your body’s skin is just as crucial as facial skincare. A nourishing moisturiser after showers keeps your skin healthy and supports grooming results. For smoother skin, exfoliate weekly with a body scrub to remove dead skin and prevent ingrown hairs.

Morning routine

  • Prep your skin for the day by using a cleanser.
  • This removes any excess oil that your skin produces as well as impurities from the environment.
  • After this massage in a moisturiser to help nourish your face.
  • A moisturiser with SPF is even better, as even if it’s not sunny, sun rays can still penetrate clouds.
  • Add in an extra step 1 - 2 times a week to exfoliate your skin.

  • Wash off a long day following the same cleansing and moisturising process from the morning.
  • You could switch out the moisturiser for thicker night cream, which will sink in and soothe while you sleep.
  • Add in an extra step once a week to apply a mask. They'll help nourish the skin deeper and draw out any impurities.

Problematic Skin?

For sensitive skin or acne, adjust your routine to soothe redness. Choose gentle, fragrance-free face washes, and avoid scrubs that may irritate. Look for soothing ingredients like tea tree oil, or salicylic acid, to unclog pores. If concerned, consult a doctor for treatment options.
