Customers Say
Mixed reviews: effective at cooling and quiet with easy mobility for some; others find it underpowered and not much better than a regular fan. Ice packs help but manual and water tray maintenance are issues.

Great product
Since I have bought this product it has been so much more bearable to be in the bedroom as it is always so hot in here this is massively cooled the room down and it's so much easier to sleep at night, and with me having a bad back it's so easy to move with have the wheels and I don't have to lift the product, and I've noticed it's so much more quieter than the other fans we have had previously, it's easy to fill and sort the ice blocks and it's all around the best unit I've owned.

Ok
It’s not what I thought it would be like a proper air conditioning unit, gives out a little cooler air with the water & ice blocks! Every easy to work, got to say not had a chance to try out for several nights, used only one night so will see how this goes
Belinds, 65 or over
Buy a decent fan instead
Slightly better than a weak fan

USELESS INSTRUCTIONS
having never owned or used an air cooler i was wary on buying one as the idea of a tank of water sat in a unit that is then plugged into the mains electric was daunting to me so i was relying on the argos product description and the instruction manual. unfortunately both were unhelpful but i have to say the instruction booklet that came with this was a joke! i had no idea how to use this cooler to start with and i became even more apprehensive after reading the confusing, useless manual. luckily after watching on line reviews on other coolers i managed to suss enough out as to get it working. the unit itself is good, its quiet enough to sleep with it on and when you put the ice packs in the water you can feel the cold air instantly. the button key pad on the unit doesnt seem to work for me and the timer has a mind of its own. all i can say is that when it works its brilliant and will easily cool a bedroom but good luck with figuring out how to work the thing.

Hi Tay,
Based on your description and the available information, here are a few suggestions why the motor in the water tank of your Princess 3-in-1 5L Air Cooler and Heater might have stopped working:
Reset the unit: Unplug for 5–10 minutes and plug back in.
Check water level and float: Make sure the tank is full and the float isn’t stuck.
Inspect for blockages: Even if cleaned, double-check the intake and outlet tubes.
Switch modes: Confirm it’s in cooling mode, not fan or heat.
Contact support: If none of the above works, it may be a motor or PCB fault. Contact Princess customer service.

Thank you for using Q&A
Hello Pinto,
The Princess 3-in-1 5L Air Cooler and Heater is 2000 watts.
Thank you for using Q and A.
Yes, a small amount of water can drip back into the water tank as the water in the tank gets pumped to the top of the filter and flows to the bottom. Thanks for purchasing Princess.

Thank you for using Q&A.
At the start you hear the pump working and the water flowing through the filter. After a few minutes, its possible to hear the water drip back in the water tank. There can be additional noise if water is below minimal level or its possible the tube that pumps the water to the top is loose. You can check it by sliding the water tank a little bit out while operating. Thanks for purchasing Princess.

It does has a time function from 1hr-7hr period so you can plan it to switch off an hour or more after going to sleep. My advice is to put the ice packs with cold or even ice cubed water on really hot nights - the colder the water, the better the experience! Also consider spare ice packs so you can switch after a few hours if using in a kids bedroom.
Hi Hw,
The Princess 3-in-1 5L Air Cooler and Heater has a timer function that allows you to set it to turn off automatically. You can set the timer for up to 24 hours, which is perfect for ensuring it turns off during the night.

Hello Noah,
The supplier has advised the following for the Princess 3-in-1 5L Air Cooler and Heater:
“ An air cooler can lower the inside temperature with 2-3 degrees. So depending on the inside temperature, they can calculate the temp. it could reach. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
This is not an air conditioner, so temperature cannot be set for cooling. The product will deliver a cool breeze with ice packs provided - performs even better with cold, ice cubed water in really hot conditions. The temperature setting is for the heating function, ideal for use in the winter.

Apologies Carin for confusion as this product does require ice packs as provided for best cooling performance. It does NOT need external ventilation like air conditioners or drainage. This product does not lower the temperature of the room, but provides a really cool breeze with ice packs in use so a step up from a normal fan. Added benefit of this product is the heating function which can be used when our wonderful UK summer is over.
Hi Carin,
The Princess 3-in-1 5L Air Cooler and Heater does not require ice blocks for cooling. It has a 5-liter tank and offers both cooling and heating functions. However, it does not need ventilation to the outside or a drainage connection.
