About this product

The feeder is perfect for overweight pets or those on special diets and also stops children and dogs from getting another pet's food. Battery C type is needed as this is not included.

Helpful feeder
This works well to keep our greedy cat out of the other cats food. We did have to buy the clear back for it separate to stop the cat from sneaking in through the back. The training mode was easy isn’t it’s not too noisy so doesn’t scare the cat. One downside is the bowl can be pulled out by the cat when open, it would be good if this was more clipped in.

Great for multi pet house
We already have a couple of these they work well however teaching them to check different cats is quick tricky as you have to make sure other cats are away from the feeder

Great product
I bought this a couple of weeks ago for our new kitten, we have been using these feeders for a couple of years now with our other cats, they are a great way to control eating for individual cats, they are relatively quiet and our cats learned how to use them fairly quickly.

Surefeed microchip feeder
I bought it because one of my cats is very slow eater and another one eats everything . This is an amazing products which allows one of the cats to eat in peace and leave some of the goodies for later . Very easy to set up the microchip on , very easy to clean and battery life is amazing !

Less scary feeder
I bought this for a cat that was scared of the other microchip feeder that I have already as it was enclosed. This is very much open and less scary for her to use. The only issue is that it does not stop another cat eating out of it, as doesn’t close fast enough. I have it in the first setting but the other cat puts his head by the lid to stop it closing.

SureFeed cat feeder — review
The SureFeed cat feeder does what it’s meant to do: it reliably controls portions and keeps food fresh, and my cat quickly learned to use it. Build quality feels solid and the lid seals well, preventing other pets from helping themselves. Pros: Reliable portion control and food freshness Good build quality and pet-friendly design Easy to set up and simple to clean Cons: Overpriced for what you get No battery or plug-in charger included, which is frustrating given the price Limited value compared with cheaper alternatives that include power options Verdict: It works well and is effective, but it’s too expensive considering it doesn’t include a power source and offers limited extra features

Best decision
My cat likes to take her time eating her food which always leaves time for flies to find it. I was hesitant to buy as its expensive but it was the best decision I made, it keeps the food fresh and keeps the flies out. The chip reader feature is great as now I can feed her on the floor with the dog and he cant steel any!

Works well for us
We had to try this as an option due to one of our cats needing a dedicated urinary diet. Our other cat would frequently steal this food which wouldn’t be good for them long term. We have two bowls, one of each cat. They work well for us. Our cats only took a few days to learn how to use the bowls, and since then there haven’t been any problems. The bowl does take a minute to close, but it closes much quicker if it senses the wrong cats chip. The sides stop them when poking their head in and stealing bits, and if they try and go round the back then it closes. It works well to stop one pushing the other off their food as only one can fit in the gap. It is a very expensive product, but it does work well and we haven’t faced any issues.

Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Caroline,
SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder
On checking I can see this comes with two bowls. One split and single bowl.
Thanks for using Q&A.
I have bought 2 and both came with 2 bowls. One full bowl and one split bowl. I also bought an additional split bowl set of 2.
Hi Mike,
The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder uses microchip sensors to recognize authorized pets, allowing only designated cats (or other pets) to access the food. If an unauthorized pet tries to eat from the bowl, the feeder lid remains closed, effectively keeping out mice, rats, and other animals.
Thank you for using Q&A
I’d say so. The rodent would have to get through solid plastic to get to the food.
Hello Mouse,
The supplier has advised the following for the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder:
The lid closing delay on the feeder will only affect the time that lid will close once the cat has left the feeder (there are 3 different settings). When an authorized cat is detected that cat will be able to eat from the feeder right away.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Many thanks for your question
Our plastic Feeder Bowls and Seal are BPA (bisphenol A) & DEHP (DI-Ethylhexyl Phthalate) Free
You can also purchase Stainless Steel Bowl Set for the SurePetcare website
You can use porcelain or C-ceramic bowl as long as they fit the feeder an allow the lid the fully close

Hi Malibudee,
The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder can recognise your cats microchip (under the skin near the neck) or a RFID collar tag if your cat is not microchipped.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Vicki,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder: The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder does not connect to the Hub.
The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect. Is the one connection to the Hub.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A
Many thanks for your question.
Unfortunately i can not comment on that, the cat needs to see the feeder and place his head under the arch to trigger the sensors. the only way to find out is to test it , there is a 30 days money back guarantee. if it does not work for the cat you can contact Sure Petcare directly.
