Hyper Toy Company Ltd is carrying out a recall of the Range Rover Evoque 12v Pink purchased between 16 December 2023 and 25 April 2024.
A potential safety concern has been identified, where a number of products have been produced without a fuse. There is a chance this could result in a short circuit of the wiring. In some cases, this could result in wires melting producing smoke and possibly a fire.

What do I need to do?

From there, you will be able to arrange for a Gas Safe Registered engineer to come to your home to check if the gas elbow connector on your gas hob is one of those affected by this issue. If so, it will be replaced.

My Babiie has identified there have been a small number of MB30 pushchairs that have been sold with an incorrect part. This part is a small R clip that is used to fix the rear wheel to the axle.
The R clip that’s provided with your MB30 pushchair is already fitted to your axle. Customers remove these clips, install the wheel, and push the clip back into place. Unfortunately, a small batch of stock has been sent out with the wrong size R clip. This means that in certain circumstances, one of the rear wheels can detach in use.

This only affects product sold in Argos between 27 April 2023 and 30 May 2023 with a batch date of PO1098, PO1099 or PO1100. All other product remains unaffected.

If your My Babiie MB30 is one of the pushchairs produced with one of the three batch numbers / PO numbers listed above, please stop using it until you get your replacement clips which can be obtained by contacting My Babiie at info@mybabiie.com, upon receipt of the R clips, you will also receive information on how to remove and fit the R clips. Aaron outdoor PIR lanterns

We have identified an issue with the installation instructions of two Aaron Outdoor PIR lanterns, which instructed that the lantern was not required to be earthed. This product MUST be earthed, If fitted according to the instructions the products are unsafe and there is a risk of electrocution.
As you may have bought an Aaron Outdoor lantern sold under the Zinc Outdoor Brand from us in the past we would like to draw your attention to this important safety information.
What do I need to do?
- If you bought the product between August 2020 and June 2021 and followed the instructions or are unsure whether it is earthed, DO NOT attempt to open the lantern to check. Switch the lantern off and DO NOT use.
- Please contact our trusted repair agent 0800 Repair (details below). They will arrange to check the installation of your lantern and earth it if required, at a time and date convenient to you.

Whirlpool washing machines

We have been asked by Whirlpool to notify you about a potential safety issue with a number of Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines manufactured between October 2014 and February 2018. The safety issue concerns the door lock system. When the heating element in the washing machine is activated, in very rare cases a component in the door lock system can overheat, which, depending on product features, can pose a risk of fire.
What do I need to do?
If you have purchased a Hotpoint or Indesit washing machine since 2014 please call Whirlpool on 0800 316 1442 (Republic of Ireland 0818 903 281) or visit https://washingmachinerecall.whirlpool.co.uk (or for Republic of Ireland - https://washingmachinerecall.whirlpool.ie) to check if your appliance is affected.
- Whirlpool have advised that to avoid all risk associated with the use of affected models, you should unplug your washing machines and not use it.
- They have also said that if, nevertheless, you do choose to use your appliance, you should only use cold water cycles of 20°C or lower as this significantly reduces the risk
- Whirlpool will be offering affected customers the choice of either a free-of-charge like-for-like replacement washing machine, or a free-of-charge in-home repair of your existing appliance.
- Due to the volume of appliances impacted by the recall, Whirlpool will be able to begin replacing appliances and deploying engineers for in-home repairs from early January.

Cuggl safety gates

Whirlpool tumble dryer

Since 2015, Whirlpool have been carrying out an in-home modification on all tumble dryers sold in the UK under the following brands Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Swan or Proline between April 2004 and September 2015, called the Whirlpool Outreach Programme.
If the dryer is left unmodified, in some rare cases, excess fluff can come into contact with the heating element and present a fire risk.
Whirlpool are now carrying out a Product Recall on any tumble dryers that remain unmodified.
Here’s what you need to do
If you think you have a tumble dryer that could be impacted by the product recall:
- Do not use the appliance
- Switch it off and unplug if safe to do so

Whirlpool have provided us with some additional information about the options that are available to customers, as follows:
Scenario - If a customer requests a refund from Whirlpool
How long will it take for the customer to receive money?
Is the refund contingent on Whirlpool taking the product back (Will they only get their money when WP have the old product back)?
What is the timeline on Whirlpool collecting the old item?
If a customer selects the refund option, then firstly they are presented with some date options for Whirlpool to collect the product as yes they will only get the money when the affected unit is back with Whirlpool. Whirlpool are offering delivery dates within a few days of when the customer selects this option. Once the customer selects the date then they will receive the cheque within 10 working days. It is likely to be quicker than this but that's the maximum.
Scenario - If a customer requests a modification
What is the timeline for customers to receive this modification?
Whirlpool typically offer an engineer within a week but are finding some consumers are asking for longer. Whirlpool do remind all customers they must unplug the unit and not use it until it is remove or repaired.
Scenario - If a customer wants a replacement
Will Whirlpool pick up the old appliance?
Whirlpool are currently offering delivery slots a few days out and yes they collect the old appliance. If the old appliance is not there they will not leave the new one as they have to demonstrate the old one has been taken out
Scenario - If a customer who already has had a modification now wants a refund or replacement
What is the process for this?
Consumers who have had their dryer already modified can continue to use it. The Office of Public Safety and Standards confirmed this in a recent review which you can find confirmation of HERE.
Scenario - In the event a customer wishes to return their tumble dryer to an Argos store.
Customers must be guided to Whirlpool without any exception as they have to be able to document removing the product. Whirlpool will come to the customer’s home at a convenient time for them and do this. Once this has been completed then they will be issued with the refund. It's very important to be 100% vigilant on this point (which I accept is hard but is important)
Can the store exercise discretion on the above point?
As above, Whirlpool can only carry out this process by removing the product directly themselves from the customer’s home. Under no circumstances are they permitted to collect from anywhere else in accordance with how they are monitoring and reporting on this programme. The onus is on Whirlpool to carry out the recall and have evidence of any machine returned, Argos are unable to interfere in this process.
Bush double oven

It has come to our attention that the installation instructions for the following items were unclear, specifically page 15 of the instruction manual, advising customers how to connect the cable for the oven. If the connector block was wired incorrectly, there is a risk of overheating which in extreme circumstances could lead to a fire. In addition, if the temperature within the oven exceeds the tempered glass limit, there is a risk that the glass could crack.

Little Tikes have brought to our attention a safety concern with the Little Tikes Activity Garden Play Centre. When the telephone is attached to the green stand there is a potential for a child’s finger to become trapped between the telephone and the stand.
What do you need to do?
Please remove the stand out of the reach of children and dispose of it immediately.
With the green stand removed the remaining components of the play centre are safe to be played with.
